GRP jacking pipes
The Amiblu pipe design for jacking and microtunnelling makes use of the benefits offered by non-corrosive GRP materials. The smooth outer surface and water-repellent properties, for example, result in low friction during installation, as there is no water absorption by the outer skin.
Pipe systems with diameters ranging from 300 to 3,600 mm
Capable of withstanding high longitudinal pressure loads (two to three times higher than concrete)
An absolutely leak-proof, corrosion-free, low-maintenance system
High long-term rigidity, approved for use under railway tracks
Optimal flow properties
Ideal for transmitting thrust forces, allowing for longer thrusting distances (e.g. curved thrusting)
Low weight for easy transportation and handling
Due to the low wall thickness of Amiblu pipes, relatively small amounts of soil need to be excavated and transported
Weather-independent installation further reduces installation times and costs
NC Line (non-circular GRP pipes)
Relining, also known as single-pipe lining, creates a leak-free 'pipe-in-pipe' system that is structurally and hydraulically as good as new.
The new pipes are pushed or pulled into the existing pipeline, and the space between them is filled with a pressure-resistant grouting compound — typically a mixture of binding agents — to fix the new pipe in place and allow it to bear the entire static load. This secures the newly installed pipe in place and enables it to bear the entire static load.
Relining or single-pipe lining can be carried out using either non-circular (NC Line) or circular pipes. Amiblu GRP pipes are particularly well suited to pipe rehabilitation, being lightweight, high-quality, corrosion-resistant, easy to install, and fully load-bearing. In short, relining restores the pipeline to as-new condition in every respect.
