AVN Machine
Herrenknecht AVN are all-rounders for safe tunnelling in the diameter range of 0.4 to around 4 meters. The slurry-supported excavation concept makes it possible to use these machines in all kinds of ground conditions. The slurry-supported excavation concept makes it possible to use these machines in all kinds of ground conditions, ranging from slit to clay to incohesive soils, and further to gravel and rock.
EPB - Earth Pressure Balance Shield
Earth Pressure Balance Shields (EPB) are a preferred option for soft, cohesive soils with high clay and silt contents and low water permeability. EPB Shields use the excavated soil directly as support medium. A rotating cutting wheel equipped with tools is pressed onto the tunnel face and excavates the material. The soil enters the excavation chamber through openings, where it mixes with the soil paste already there.
HDD - Horizontal Directional Drilling
With horizontal directional drilling rigs from Herrenknecht, pipelines can be installed under rivers and infrastructures quickly, economically and with minimal impact on the environment. Examples of pipeline applications include the transport of oil, gas or wastewater as well as district heating, high-voltage power lines, cable bundles for telecommunications and much more.
Direct Pipe
With the unique Direct Pipe® technology, Herrenknecht has opened up new possibilities for installing pipelines in every geology. In one step only, a prefabricated pipeline can be installed and the required borehole excavated at the same time.
